Recent reports say that the father of the Cultural Revolution in China, Mao Zedong is currently rolling in his metaphorical grave. He has been deified at his place of birth, and adoring worshippers light incense at alters in his name. How did this ironic twist come to be? The man responsible for the mass destruction of temples, and the oppression of religious expression becoming a god? Oh, how the tables have turned. No rest for the wicked they say.
